Today, I had the pleasure of hosting the “Let’s Create a Vision Board Together” workshop online via Zoom. A heartfelt thank you to all the participants for sharing your precious time and energy with us.
This workshop is far more than just creating a beautiful collage. It’s a powerful process of delving deep into your inner desires, visualizing them, boosting your energy for goal achievement, and ultimately, confronting the fundamental question of “How do I truly want to express myself?” This is an incredibly vital element, even in enhancing public speaking performance, which is my area of expertise.
♦️ The Power of “Excitement” Felt Through Hands and Heart
Whether seasoned creators or first-timers, participants immersed themselves in selecting magazine clippings and photos, translating their “likes” and “ideal futures” onto a single board. Hearing comments like, “I felt so genuinely excited while making it!” truly captured the positive energy in the room.
This intrinsic motivation, this “excitement,” is the very fuel that drives action and provides the strength to overcome challenges. It’s indispensable, whether you aim to speak confidently in public or push forward towards your goals.
♦️ A Shower of Rich “Insights” Born from Diversity
The sharing session in the latter half of the workshop was a treasure trove of learning, where diverse values intersected beautifully. Each completed vision board was remarkably unique, brimming with individuality – no two were alike.
Witnessing everyone’s distinct visions and hearing the stories and aspirations behind them sparked numerous moments of connection and discovery – “What a fascinating perspective!” or “I’m cheering for that dream too!” Embracing others’ viewpoints and being exposed to diverse ways of thinking are essential for expanding your own mental horizons and cultivating deeper communication skills.
♦️ The Courage to Face Your “True Feelings” Beyond the Excitement
It’s natural for anxieties and fears (“Can I really achieve this?”) to surface while envisioning an ideal future. In this workshop, we didn’t just focus on the positives; we also held a mini-seminar offering hints on recognizing and effectively managing that inner voice (often the Inner Critic).
Furthermore, we explored:
- Why vision boards accelerate goal achievement (a neuroscience-based perspective).
- How to effectively align your subconscious and conscious minds – the keys to unlocking goal attainment.
- How our consciousness selects and processes information to create our reality in today’s information-saturated world.
Understanding these mechanisms provides a compass for maximizing your own inner resources and proactively creating the future you desire. And it’s this clarified inner vision that becomes the unshakeable core message capable of truly moving your audience.
