Hello, I am Mayumi Ogata, Founder of Body Speech.
On December 5th and 6th, I had the honor of serving as a keynote speaker at the International Summit “SYNTHESIS,” an initiative associated with the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in Maharashtra, India.
This summit focused on the critical transition from Industry 4.0 (digitalization) to Industry 5.0 (human-centric society).
I spoke on the theme of “Presence, Coherence, and Empathy—Human Assets That AI Cannot Replace,” introducing my unique methodology, “Body Speech.”

Covered by Major Local Media
I am deeply grateful that the content of my keynote was widely reported by Maharashtra’s top three media outlets: Lokmat, Sakal, and Pudhari.
In particular, “Pudhari,” a leading regional newspaper, featured an exclusive article on my session, highly praising Body Speech as a transformative approach to leadership.

Translation of the Article (from Pudhari)
Here is an excerpt of how the local media described the session:

“Leadership That Understands and Guides People is Needed”
[Excerpt from the article]
“In today’s world, leadership that understands and empathizes with people is essential. No matter how much knowledge one has, success cannot be achieved alone. Leaders who listen to others, broaden their perspectives, and empower people are the ones who will build the future,” said Mayumi Ogata.
She further emphasized, “In modern society, while technology has brought convenience, human connections are becoming weaker. That is why I want today’s youth to become leaders who possess empathy.”
The Moment Body Speech Crossed Borders
This unique method was born from my personal journey of facing past trauma and exploring the questions: “Why do communication errors occur?” and “Why does discord happen?”
In India, a land with a different language and culture, the message was met with enthusiastic support. After the speech, students and participants rushed to the stage, eager to learn more about non-verbal communication. The excitement continued even after I left the stage, surrounded by many who resonated with the message.
Seeing this response and the media coverage confirmed one thing for me: The craving for authentic communication is universal.
As AI continues to evolve, our innate human “physicality” and “empathy” will become the keys to true leadership.
With this experience as a foundation, I am committed to contributing to the development of leaders in Japan and around the world through Body Speech.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Gaurav and the Global Shapers Community, as well as everyone at Warana University for their warm welcome.
